5 Colors I Can’t Wait to Wear in Summer

Every season owns colors, colors that match perfectly with what we do, what we wear, what we feel, and what we want to feel during each season. For example, winter colors in general are frosty blue, grey, and black. These colors do change depending on the trends, but the color palette usually stays similar. This summer, I think a balance of bold and pastel colors will be just EVERYTHING. Scroll through to find five colors that I will most certainly be wearing this summer; probably everyday. Sometimes it can be frustrating to find a clothing item in the exact color that you want it to be, but don’t worry: I have found some clothes to start off your summer wardrobe!

Light & Pale Pink

Light pink is my all-time favorite color to wear. It is such an adorable and feminine color that goes great with tan skin. The summer sun is not here to play, and light pink is here to stay! Just because light pink is feminine doesn’t mean guys can’t wear it either. Wearing the color pink brings out the youthfulness in one’s appearance and can soften your features. Another very realistic benefit for those who sweat a lot: pale pink is great at concealing sweat stains!

Cream

Cream is certainly a classic that is so versatile. It can match with any other color in any way and it still manages to look balanced and beautiful. Cream goes well with any skin tone, but especially tan and darker skin tones. It’s perfect for the beach; you can add cream into beach cover ups, bags, beach pants, flowy skirts, and so much more. Because cream is such a basic and simple color, items like knitwear and rope tote bags with texture tend to look stunning in the color cream.

Seafoam Green

Seafoam green is the color of summer. I mean, come on. It’s in the name: sea-foam green! In summer it’s important to wear colors that are bright and light. Seafoam is a perfect color for those who want color but not too much. A lot of clothing in the color seafoam is toned down. Button ups in this color would also be great for the hot weather, especially those made with linen. Whether it’s toned down or not, seafoam green is at the top of my list.

Tall Baird McNutt Irish linen shirt

$89.50

Cream Yellow

Yellow has always been a summer color, but this summer I’m not going to be wearing any yellow; I’ll be wearing cream yellow. A cream banana-yellow is such a sweet color that feels light and airy. During summer, we want to avoid darker and heavy colors like brown and blood red as it can make the outfit seem too heavy and hot for the weather. On the contrary, cream yellow is a must for summer. Because of the yellow color, stains will be less noticeable and the clothing piece will probably look less worn out in the long run. For this color, I think wearing big blocks of it would look great. For example, you could wear a dress, a bathing suit, a t-shirt, or flowy pants in this color; to summarize, wear lots of cream yellow when you are incorporating it into your outfit.

Pantone 'Daffodil'

The Pantone ‘daffodil’ is a beautiful bright orange that has a more creamy feeling with a yellow tint. It was included in the Pantone colors for S/S New York Fashion Week. If you walk into a room with the color daffodil on, people will look at your outfit for all the right reasons. It’s a citrusy and fresh color that is perfect for the summer where oftentimes we need that fresh escape from the heat. For this color, I think it would look best to incorporate it into one or two pieces of your outfit!
