7 Different Ways You Can Style Your Fav Sweaters

Sweater season is here as Halloween marks our transition to cold weather, rich hot cocoa with floating fluffy marshmallows, and the crackling sound of fire. Take those sweaters out from the back of the closet because after reading this blog, you will have 7 twinkly outfit ideas for your beloved sweater. If you are looking to expand or start your sweater collection, I recommend going thrifting. It really depends on each thrift store, but I promise you, that’s where you’ll hit a home run and find your dearest sweater.

Pssst... Quick tip: to increase the longevity of your sweater, I recommend folding your sweaters or any knit clothing you have as hanging them can make the fabric stretch!

1. Overalls and Converses

One of the easiest ways to spice up an outfit is by throwing on some overalls. Now add some Converse to that, and you've got a comfy yet well put together outfit! (bonus points for color coordination)

2. Pleated Skirt, Tights, and Platforms

Hot person archetypes: skirts and black tights. This captivating outfit will make your confidence go through the roof and will become one of your favorite outfit combos. For shoes, you could wear platforms, Mary Janes, or loafers.

3. Baggy Jeans and Lots of Jewelry

Oh, don't we love the versatility of baggy jeans. It goes with every top and certainly is a great match for sweaters. Outfits like these could get a little basic, but don't you worry, adding jewelry to the mix will completely elevate the look and spice things up!

4. Biker Shorts and Dr. Martens

Sometimes, going simple is the best. This is a perfect example of when that applies. For shoes, there is nothing better than Dr. Martens to pair with biker shorts. On those days where you have nothing to wear, you can always rely on this combo to save your outfit crisis. It's simple, yet eye-catching.

5. Yoga Pants and Reebok Shoes

One of the trends that our beloved fashion icon, Emma Chamberlain, started are these yoga pants. Although these yoga pants may be viewed as basic and simple, there is just something about it that makes the outfit look more put together and in trend. To go along with the comfy yet fashionable yoga pants and sweater, I wore Reebok Off White Club C 85 Vintage Shoes. The Reebok Club C 85's are one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn and are a great item to pair with many different outfits.

6. Vest

Whether it be blazer vests, faux fur vests, or blazer vests, vests are making a solid come-back since their last booming period in the early 2000's. Wear them with a sweater, and you are set for fall and early winter.

7. Over a Dress

Wearing a sweater over a dress is a fantastic way to get more use out of dresses. Although there isn't much to it, getting as much wear out of each clothing is so important in order to reduce waste from the fashion industry. This outfit combo can be trendy if styled well and provides an excellent alternative to buying a new skirt!
