Accessories You NEED for the Upcoming Season

Accessories can make or break an outfit. There's so many different types of accessories that you can wear and most of them have multiple ways of wearing them. If you don't wear accessories, what are you doing?! But, don't worry this blog can help you get started. If you don't want to accessorize too much, I recommend going for simple jewelry or a nice pair of sunglasses. If you want to be more of a fashion girly (or guy), definitely go for cool hats, scarves, sunnies, lots of jewelry, interesting socks, belts, gloves, clips, hair ties, ribbons, keychains, and more. Scroll for inspo.

Disc Belts (Western Belts)

especially metal ones

You've probably have seen those chunky western belts all over, but out of those belts, these disc ones are a must. It's perfect for that indie sleaze look and it just ties in the outfit altogether. You can pair them with any bottoms and they also look stunning on dresses like the bottom right photo. They come in so many different designs so there's a lot to choose from. I have yet to get my hands on these but I will definitely be searching for them when thrifting.

Statement Necklace

the bigger the better

This one is probably the easiest to do out of all the different accessories listed here. All you really gotta do to achieve this look is to go to a thrift store or a flea market and buy a really big pendant or crystal ring that you like. Then you just put it on whatever string or chain you have and voila, you have a statement necklace. Another option is a rosette necklace like the one in the bottom middle photo. These can be found on Etsy and many other brands. If you're allergic to a lot of metals like me, I recommend you to get just a simple black string or ribbon and wear it with a crystal, glass, or 925 silver pendant.

Hoop Earrings

the bigger the better

I haven't stopped wearing hoop earrings since I started to last year, and they are my everyday go-to earrings. They can make any outfit look so much cooler but it can also elevate the look to make it more elegant. The bigger the hoop, the better it is. However, it can get too big so I think an easy way to see if it's a good enough size is to make an "okay sign" with your fingers. You can compare the size of that "okay circle" you made and the hoop earrings. I recommend you to try and get lighter ones because hoops can rip your earlobes a bit. Simuero (2nd from left top photo) is a great place to buy big chunky hoops!

Waist Jewelry

or ones that sit on hips

If there's any accessory that is the best accessory for summer, it's these. They're the most perfect jewelry to wear to the beach or just out as it does a great job in accessorizing that gap of skin. Whether they're made of silver, gold, or beads, they always look stunning. You can easily make waist beads yourself with just some stretchy string and beads of your liking. If you're more of a silver or gold person, you can use a long necklace to do this or you can get one specifically made for the waist. Like come on, you can't look at these and tell me you don't want them.
