it would be a lie to say that all my purchases are great, but i've definitely made some that i DO NOT regret at all. although there are some other pieces that i've thrifted that i absolutely adore, i've created a list of things below of things that you can also get if you wanted! funny enough they all ended up being basics that are quite timeless and i know for sure that i'll be wearing for a long time (and some i've already been wearing for years). i've also looked back at my old post, "The Best Clothing Purchases I've Made", to see what i put down there and i still wear the majority of them. i hope you enjoy and maybe find a good purchase for yourself here!
Brandy Melville White Clarissa Top (i think)
recently, i was on the hunt for a classic white top, when i came across this one in the store. it has that textured sheerness that only cotton can achieve that i love so so so so much. i'm not sure if clarissa top is the right name but it has the st.george print one the inside. my mom and i are absolutely obsessed with this fabric. the fit is also super flattering with a neck hole just big enough to be comfortable, a defined shoulder area, and the perfect sleeve length. it's my favorite basic out of everything that i own and it goes with literally anything.
Dr. Martens 1461 Smooth Leather Platform Shoes
i got my pair during covid in 2020 when these were all the rage. when you walked outside (when we were finally allowed to) you were guaranteed to see at least one person wearing these. i think they're such a classic pair of shoes to have. when i bought these initially, i was a bit worried that they would go out of style because 2020 to early 2022 were years full of micro trends (actually, my mom did most of the worrying). however, i still wear it to this day, in 2024! they are actually the only pair of shoes from 2020 that i still continue to wear, and that says a LOT. the only downside to these shoes, i'd say, is the initial one-week break in period as well as the weight of the shoes. they are definitely heavier than most shoes out there and it takes some time to get used to. i wore them around the house for a week and wore bandaids on my heels when i went out in them. but now that they are broken in, i literally go to new york in them; and you know how much walking a trip to new york requires. these are an amazing option for when you want shoes that are more unique, comfortable, and timeless.
Urban Outfitters BDG Logan Buckle Baggy Boyfriend Jean
these jeans are my ride or die jeans and it's perfect to wear during any season. the buckle in the back makes it so easy to adjust the size and the baggy-ness is just the perfect amount. during winter i like to layer leggings under it so that i'm warmer. although i've been leaning towards skinnier jeans recently, i don't think i could go without these baggy jeans! the one downside that i would say is that the indigo denim color-way (which is what i got) fades out as you wash it so it goes from an acid wash to more of a medium wash like in the photos over time.
STUDS Piercings
i got pierced at STUDS a bit less than two months ago and they are my favorite things ever. i got the marquise titanium piercing on my helix and the cubic zirconia cluster titanium piercing for my single snake bite. their studios are really easy to just go in and get your ears pierced and i loveee their jewelry. they're mostly on the east coast but they also have some stores in california and washington state, so if you've been thinking of getting your ears pierced i would highly recommend them!
Adidas Bermuda in 'Glow Pink'
recently i've been really liking low top sneakers that have low soles (so sneakers that aren't platforms or have height). i first came across the 'easy mint' ones and i immediately wanted them so badly. i couldn't find my size and i kind of forgot about them, but when i found the pink ones, i had to get them! the photos online truly don't do them justice, and the color is so much prettier in person. there aren't a lot of pink shoes out there that are just the right shade, so i absolutely love these ones.
