How to Style Jewelry in 2024

jewelry trends don't change as quickly as clothing trends, but that isn't to say that it doesn't change at all. the new year is certainly the time to up your game in styling jewelry, and i've got just the guide for you. this year is all about exploring different styles and mix-matching metals. i strongly recommend you try these out before just saying no!! and to be quite honest, everything listed below kind of goes with each other so have some fun combining different ways to style jewelry!

Lots of Bracelets

i absolutely love the look of stacked bracelets, and it seems as though a lot of other people agree. just because it's "a lot" of bracelets, it doesn't necessarily refer to the maximalist look (although i love that too). you can style it to be quite simple and elegant like the top right and bottom middle ones, or you can layer numerous pieces like all the other photos. i would really recommend you get bracelets at thrift stores or flea markets as they're more eco-conscious and they have really unique bracelets that you wouldn't be able to find anywhere else (if you're in new york, definitely go to chelsea flea).

Mixing Metals

if i'm gonna be honest, i'm gonna have to say that this one is my favorite jewelry trend we've had in a while. we've kind of been hating on this for a while until people started to do it in a really tasteful way recently. i think it's such a good way to add more oomph to an outfit. for me personally, i'm happy that my jewelry collection is now doubled (because now i wear my mom's gold jewelry). a really easy way to incorporate both metals into your jewelry look can be to add a gold pendant to your silver chain, to stack on a silver stud to you gold hoops, or to intertwine simple gold and silver necklaces. i really really hope you try this one out.

Stacked Earrings

i've been seeing more and more of stacked earrings recently, and i am so here for it. whether you have a ton of piercings or not, you can still partake in this trend. if you do have lots of piercings, you're in luck! and if you don't, you can easily get cuffs from etsy or many other jewelry brands so that you can stack earrings too.

Using Them Unconventionally

as the "making my own Jane bag" trend rose, a lot of people started to add charms and ribbons to their bags. this kind of expanded into shoes and it's so cool to see how people are personalizing into their own. i love it when people also put earring studs or rings on shoes and bags but i sadly couldn't find any photos for that. but anyways, this is a great one to try out if you've been wanting to personalize some bags or shoes, or even hats!
