My Fav Shows of This Season pt. 2

Fashion shows are masterpieces created through hours and hours of work on producing garments that have passed through the hands of numerous dexterous craftsmen. Fashion is all about expression and these shows that I have picked couldn't have expressed their own style and message better. Though I haven't seen every single fashion show, I have been exposed to many through runway videos and other social media posts. With that being said, I definitely have some favorites. The creativity and finesse of these looks are top tier and as a fellow fashion lover, I hope you enjoy these as much as I did. (if you want to see these shows as a video, I recommend you to search them up on Youtube!)

go read the first part as well;)

Blumarine FW23

Contrasting to their previous shows with light and flirty pieces, this show was all about the Middle Ages and Joan of Arc--The Messenger: The Story of Joan Arc. The iron cast in the back hints at the setting of Joan of Arc, setting a dark and dangerous mood for the whole show. This newly presented Blumarine is now steered away from their bubbly aesthetic, towards intensity and eroticism. I love the cohesiveness of the belt buckle details, as well as brown and black leather shown throughout all the looks.

Miu Miu FW23

The Miu Miu FW23 show by Miuccia Prada, is titled Ways of Looking, focusing on how ways of looking can transform the object in viewing. Their color palette is very muted with lots of mossy greens and different shades of browns. Everytime Miu Miu has a show, there always seems to be an "it" factor that becomes the center of the show. Last show, it was their ballet flats and micro mini skirts, but this show, it's their tights. I especially liked it when they paired them with sequined panties.

Kiko Kostadinov FW23

The London based brand took on their own meaning of uniforms, putting guests in school chairs and lecturing them with pastel tones and draped silk dresses paired with layered leather boots and cultural face decor. This is a show where the layering really shines through. It's done in a brilliant way that it doesn't feel tacky and just enough to be vogue.

Loewe FW23

I know that I've been saying that I love every single one of these shows, but these truly have to be in my top 3. Their them of deception and mystique was applied throughout all the looks and they couldn't have done a better job. Designs were printed on the pieces, like the white dress and pink cardigan in the photos, to make it seem like it was a different piece or fabric than the original. What really made this runway go viral are the so-called "polly pocket" clothes (the last three looks) that are made with leather and sponge to give it that stiffness. It's such a cool look as it hasn't been seen before, and people were obsessed. My personal favorite is the first blue dress as it looks like pearl in the ocean. The fabric is draped ever so elegantly and the bubble hem is a must.
