S/S 2024 Fashion Trends I'm Excited About

i love analyzing and finding out more about trends and what better post is there than this to talk about them! in this day and age, trends are switching up left and right in a blink of an eye. i know the ever-fast evolving trends are sometimes hard to keep up with (and completely unnecessary to follow all of them), but i think some are completely worth testing out. not all trends are for everyone, but it's such a good feeling when you find one that fits you well. i hope you enjoy this list of some trends that i'm excited about!

Burgundy Boom

different colors are always rotating when it comes to which ones are trending, and burgundy is certainly one that's on the rise right now. whether that'd be on small accessories or a full fits centered around it, burgundy is a great color choice for those who are debating on what colored items to wear and purchase this season.

All Things Girl: Ribbons, Bows, Frills, Ruffles, Lace

if you've looked around, been on social media, or have looked at magazines, you for sure have seen at least one of these five: ribbons, bows, frills, ruffles, and lace. they are such pretty additions to an outfit and i love that we are seeing more and more of them; even better if it's a combination of two of them.

Shiny, Shimmery, and Sparkly

something that shines, shimmers, or sparkles is such a perfect thing to wear for when you are going out at night or going somewhere where light can reflect off of you. the pretty reflections that beam off of an outfit is such a unique trait that these elements can bring. you can take part in this trend in so many different ways, and i think it's just such a fun way to spice up an outfit.

Office Inspired Elements

i feel like i have two sides of me that always debate between street style and the clean and slick office inspired looks. this is a trend that's been slowly appearing, starting with dress pants and kitten heels, expanding into pleated skirts, button up shirts, and thin 2000s glass frames. this is great for when you're trying to dress up a little more and be formal, but still want to look cute. as you can tell by the top middle and bottom photos, pops of colors are so so cute with this trend.

Slingback Pumps/Kitten Heels

going along with the "office inspired elements", kitten heels are such a good addition to anyone's closet. they can be dressed in so many different occasions, both casual and formal, being a key item. i love the signature mini heels and pointed toes, and the countless variety of styles are just another plus. although there are tons of kitten heels sold by brands right now, i would challenge you to thrift them as you'll be finding more unique pieces for a lower price for yourslef and the environment!
