New trends blossom every year, every month, every day, every hour, every minute, every second. They come and go like the seasons of the year and I always love seeing what the next "it" thing is. The fashion world right now is focused on individuality and expression, so I think it would be really interesting to see everybody's unique interpretations of all the trends. As it gets warmer, new trends are emerging and I've compiled a list of trends I can't wait to see. I hope it gives you some inspiration as to what to wear for this season!
Metallics
especially silver
The most popular way we've been seeing metallics have been the silver and gold Onitsuka Tiger shoes as well as the silver Nike's. To be quite honest, at first I didn't really like this trend, but now it is safe to say that I am obsessed. It's such a fun way to tie your outfit altogether so that it matches your jewelry. I have a silver bag that I thrifted and it's my favorite thing ever. It's such an easy trend to hop onto and very easily thrift-able!
Bangles & Cuffs
the more the merrier
Going along with the "shit ton of jewelry" trend that I absolutely love, this bangles and cuffs trend is another one that I will be participating in. Chunky jewelry that catches attention is the way to go for this season, and there is nothing better than doing just that than with beautiful bangles and cuffs. You can go for a simplistic look like the top left and bottom right or go for unique vintage ones like the top right and bottom left. I especially love it when cuffs are worn high up in the arms like the top middle photo with a dress or a skirt. If you want more of the vintage feel I recommend you to go to a flea nearby!
Baby Pink
a must
I've been seeing the color more and more on all social media platforms and I couldn't be happier. If you know me, you know that I'm a sucker for anything baby pink. I think it's such a perfect color and honestly, it makes everything better. It looks so flattering on everybody, so if it's a color you haven't really explored yet, there is no better time than now.
Midi / Maxi Skirts
even better if it's asymmetrical
Longer skirts have been around for about a year now, but this season, there's a bit of a twist. If patterned and straight maxi skirts were in last year, this year is all about layers, asymmetry, mesh, lace, tiers, ruching, and texture. All of the examples are shown above and they look so cool with big chunky belts or concho belts. If you're not a skirt person because of how uncomfortable they can be, I definitely recommend you to try longer skirts out as you don't have to worry about flashing someone every other second (which is a huge plus).
Tiny Little Shorts
that aren't denim or cargo or linen.
Bella Hadid first introduced wearing tiny shorts as a part of an everyday outfit when she wore them with Uggs. After that, these tiny little shorts have just blasted off and now they're worn in all sorts of ways. I love the look of tiny shorts with longer socks and sneakers. If you want elevate the look you can even wear them with boots or kitten heels with a leather jacket or fur coat, and voila, you have a cool and comfy outfit. I'm super excited to wear these this season as they're something different than the typical jean shorts.
