Nothing can get between us and good fashion, and the cold is no exception. With freezing temperatures and bone-shivering wind, it's crucial to layer up. Layering is the most you can do during the winter, and there's a vogue way to do it. The process is made even easier when you know what to wear in the cold. All things that are going to be introduced are fairly easy to thrift, so if you have the chance, I highly recommend you to go! If you've never thrifted or need some guidance go checkout my thrift sequels, one, two, and three.
I especially recommend the first and second one!
Heavy Duty Jackets
During the frigid winter season there is nothing better than a nice thick heavy duty jacket to warm you up. These jackets can be Carhartt jackets that everyone is loving right now, bomber jackets, or leather jackets. They are very easy to style and they look good on every body type. A tip for extra warmth is to wear a thinner fleece jacket underneath to further prevent the crisp air from leaking in.
Chunky Scarves
Scarves are the best for blocking out the cold and they're even better because they come in so many different styles and patterns. They are incredibly versatile in the way to wear them because there are countless different ways to style them and tie them. If you haven't already go read my blog on 4 ways to style scarf!
Ear Muffs
In my opinion, ear muffs are the most darling winter accessories. It adds so much to the outfit and it's greatly functional. Though it's a bit hard to hear with them on, they are great for protecting your ears from the icy winter wind. It's great for when you want your ears to be warm without having to have hat hair after.
Puffer Vests
Another one of my winter favorites is a puffer vest. Though they are not as warm as puffer jackets or other heavy duty jackets, I think they're a great stylistic choice when paired with other warm clothes. An example can be to wear layered clothing underneath the puffer vest and to finish off the outfit with a nice chunky scarf. These are perfect for people who like to stay warm but don't want the stiffness that comes with layering lots of clothes on.
